If there’s COVID on earth, we camp
somewhere in the Cloud……….. This was an
experience like never before where both
young and old people from 8 different African
countries connected with God and others in
fun and exciting ways through a virtual camp
hosted on the Zoom platform!
Under the theme “Camp in the Cloud”, with a
specific focus on Thriving in Trials, Thriving in
Temptation & Thriving in Good Works (James
1), our goal was to encourage the campers to
recognize the way in which they ought to live
in uncertain times such as these.
Through exciting Bible Hour sessions, group
discussions and a panel session, we had
distinguished speakers like John Page,
Greg Steir, Kris Stout, David Kirabira, Ray
Pritchard,Peter Odanga to mention but a
few who challenged and inspired campers
to utilize this time to seek the Lord and even
learn new skills that will build and equip them
for the time ahead.
Both the Teens, College & Career camp took
place from 15th – 17th May and 22nd -24th
May respectively. 367 campers attended and
18 trusted Christ. Pray that these people will
be committed to follow and live for Christ no
matter what temptations may come their
way.
