Wordie Digest-February 2021

Most times people assume that some homes prepare a child for almost everything; however, the leaders in Kasese in one of their meetings asked us to teach fifteen girls and ten boys to cook a common Uganda snack, chapati.

It was exhilarating to see the alacrity which was displayed by the girls and boys as they undertook the task of kneading the dough, rolling it and pan frying it. it was not obvious that these kids knew how to make this snack, however, the life skill meant a lot for those children.

This skills day as one of the camp programs allowed us to see the importance of not only reaching the Gospel with the heart, but as God grants us grace, we should be able to meet the needs of those we reach through skills training.
